Wild -1.5 at Plus Money: Back the Surging Home Team Against a Fading Seattle

Seattle Kraken vs Minnesota Wild · Minnesota Wild -1.5 (+105)

2:00 PM ET

W We got it right.

Our Analysis

The Minnesota Wild have won three straight and are 44-21-12 on the season, fighting for Central Division seeding with genuine playoff momentum. The Seattle Kraken, by contrast, have won just once in their last nine games (1-6-2) and sit six points out of the final wild card spot with time running out. When a team is 1-6-2 in their last nine, that is not a slump. That is a collapse.

The matchup edges stack up heavily for Minnesota. The Wild hold a 10-4-0 record in their last 14 head-to-head meetings against Seattle, outscoring the Kraken 47-31 in those contests. Home ice, superior form, and superior goaltending all point the same direction. The Kraken also have a question mark in net after Grubauer exited Monday with a lower-body injury. If he cannot go tonight, Seattle rolls out a backup in a playoff-stakes environment against one of the hotter teams in the league.

At +105, we are getting paid more than even money to take the better team, in better form, at home, against an opponent with goaltender uncertainty and nothing left to play for. Our model ran over 10,000 simulations and landed at 72% confidence, making this the highest-rated play on tonight's full slate.

Result

Minnesota won exactly the way the model projected. The Wild dominated Seattle 5-2, covering the -1.5 puck line comfortably and delivering a plus-money winner.

The Kraken offered almost nothing offensively, confirming the 1-6-2 stretch was a genuine collapse rather than bad luck. Grubauer's status was indeed a concern, and Minnesota's depth showed throughout. Three straight wins for the Wild, and a clean cover at +105.

Result: WIN. Minnesota Wild -1.5 (+105) cashed.
